Well I am new to the group, So I thought I would say hello. My name is Jimmy. I live in Norwalk WI. I have wanted to play the harp for years. When I was 7 yrs old I inherited my grandfathers one and only harp a Vintage M.Hohner Echo Bells Metal Reed Harp Harmonica Two Sides in C/G the one with four holes not six. It was vintage when I got it and I am 45 now. It still plays. Needs some reaads fixed and new cover plates I got a line one them to restore it. I found the Modern Blues Harmonica web site and signed up, then I found the FB group, I posted over there as well and thought I would here for those that don't do FB. I picked up a set of hohner piedmont blues harmonicas got them for a song as the G harp was missing. So I picked up a Marine Band Harmonica's No 1896 in G and another in C. I also picked up a Vintage Pepita Harmonica, it's in C. also I nice little restore project. I am looking to meet with other players in my area of Wisconsin to learn and jam with and stuff. Im a new player, I never reliesed how easy the harp was to play with tabs having a blast, sorry this got long just wanted to say hello.

Jimmy:
I am located in Waukesha Wisconsin, about three hours away. So not real close. I am around same age. Been playing for a while. I organized and played at two private shows this summer. I also just started teaching beginners earlier this year. Most jams near by dried up so looking around for new ones now, as well for bands to play with. There is a cool harmonica festival near Milwaukee in November sponsored by a guy I have played with several times a couple years ago when he hosted jams out here. Check out my earlier post here on details of the festival if that interests you. Otherwise have fun with those harps.

I started at age 48, 16 years ago. I can say you will be a fun trip. Enjoy it.
