This chorus pedal sells for very little in a store comfortably close to me. I hate testing things in music stores and want to reduce that kind of messiness to a minimum.
Therefore I wonder, has anybody here used this pedal? Good, bad, acceptable results?
I´m looking for a vaguely accordion-like sound, mostly for backing on country styled tunes.

Please note: I know that the Behringer stuff is considered shitty by many (I have no personal opinion). Also, I know that you can get seriously better chorus effects with other, more expensive, pedals. Or play chorus harps. ("Just buy half a dozen of them for a small fortune!")
I also know that you can dial in chorus sounds on my RP pedal, but here my interest is a simple gadget, used for live playing. (The RP don´t work for me in that context.)

So for now my question is about the Behringer UC200 for $30.

Any chorus can add a little shimmer, but I find that playing tongue blocked octaves with vibrato works fine to simulate accordion without needing effects pedals. I still can's sound like Jerry Devillier, but it works OK for me. "Jambalaya" is the song that I use this approach for the most. Here is Jerry explaining it, first the single note versions, then adding more:

I can't offer a comparison of different Chorus pedals. Sorry...

Yes Doug, you´re right, and that works up to a point. But just up to a point. After that I think you need that little extra shimmer, either from a tremolo harp or an effect.
