I was on the Hohner website looking at their chromatic harmonicas. One that caught my eye was the Hohner Ace 48 Chromatic Harmonica. I checked every website for this particular model, & all I get in search engines is the Hohner Ace (diatonic) harp. I really like this alot, but it seems nobody has heard of it. Is it possible that it is a brand new model, yet to be released to the public? Or the case being it's sold everywhere, including Antarctica, but not the U.S.A.? Any input would be great.

Maybe they are lost on the slow leaky boat from China?
If they are not priced considerably lower than the Suzuki SCX-48, I'd go with the Suzuki.
To answer your original question, I don't know.
Edit - Yikes. I might be completely wrong. Something on Slidemeister.com say's 649 Euros, or about $720. Maybe we'll get the rest of the story after S.P.A.H.

I think they're being introduced this week at SPAH in San Antonio.

From Hohner's website, courtesy of Googletranslate:
"A precise, individually milled mouthpiece closed on one side slide guide ensures maximum air leakage at minimum noise slide."
That's my Hohner. Always working to improve things. :-)

Owen Evans, yes. That's the one. I figured it will be available to the public after SPAH. Almost reminds me of the Auto Expo at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in NYC. Always shows the new cars before releasing to the public. But a trip to Austin, Texas for SPAH isn't feasible for me. Financially, it's workable. But my physical disabilities can literally stop me in my tracks. And in addition - $749.00??? You can buy alot of Marine Bands with that amount of cash.
