I am curious where the Mojo Pad, as well as the new Harpman pedal from Memphis Blues and really any feedback control device goes if you use an effects loop? Do you want it at the end of your loop or between the mic and the input?

Thanks!

According to the website, this device is designed to be placed at the end of the chain.
That doesn't sound to me like it belongs in an effects loop!

Putting the Mojo Pad in the effects loop would actually be detrimental. These are typically situated between the preamp and power section of an amplifier. You would be getting all of the gain going into the preamp and then cutting the gain going to the power section.

Definitely run it before the preamp (end of your mic -> chain) for optimal results.

At $49, this sounds like a useful piece of kit.
I assume you will have them at SPAH, with a show special?
You know us harmonica players, always looking for a bargain . . .
I usually use my vocal mike, or a Fireball, but with the Mojo Pad, I might break out the crystal mike! And go wireless!
Great, more gear to set up before the gig!

Yep, Randy and I will be there. I'm pretty sure we are running a 10% show discount.

I feel your pain. The good thing about the Mojo Pad, though, is that it doesn't require power or anything. So, it is really just one more cable. Pretty simple.

Well, here's the thing . . .
Harmonica is pretty well known for being all about tone.
A vocal mike will work, but you have to have really great acoustic tone.
I don't.
So it would make sense to bring the gear that will allow me to manifest whatever greatness I can muster, and this device should do that--I have a 2-12" 100 watt Music Man which I use for my guitar, with the Mojo Pad I should be able to use this same amp for harp.
I have a Digitech RP355 with the Richard Hunter patches, so I might try to use that too.
