Hi folks. I need a wee bit of info. I'm about to spend a right few quid on a D CX12. What i need to know is, is it a low D or high D? The lower octave machine is what i need. Thanks in advance. ---------- http://www.reverbnation.com/#!/alprice

It's low, a whole step above a tenor. You might like it, it's a bit low for my tastes. Hope this message reaches you in a timely manner, sometimes the spam filter eats shorter messages.

I bought one recently, because it is on the low range. I like it. ----------

'tis true--I bought a Hering 10 hole chrom in D when I was first starting out (from Kevin's) and found it virtually useless--only goes up to G5 (same note as blow 8 on a standard chrom) . . . A 12 hole gets up to E6--still pretty low for many harp players--C7 is the high note on a standard C diatonic.
