Thank you, Jason!! Awesome lesson. I'm really a student of Chicago style blues and this is perfect for me. It's a simple enough lick, but I really get the most from seeing how you embellish it with the chordal tongue blocking effects. I need to do more of that, because I've been tongue blocking from the start, but I don't think I'm milking it for as much as I could.
Really cool turnaround at 17:50-ish. Is that 3 3" 4? ---------- Marc Graci YouTube Channel
OUSTANDING LESSON!!!, as much for the psychology of practicing stuff as for the technical explanations provided. I picked the harp up late in life, and have found developing the motivation to practice incredibly difficult. I keep saying to myself "this is a hobby it's supposed to be fun".
Just nice to see someone as accomplished as Jason talk about that.
Yes, excellent lesson. I've been a full-time tongue blocker for years now, but still (will) learn a lot from this lesson, when I apply myself to it. ----------
Having been in pretty much a closet player for the last 15 -20 years and only finding all this great technique stuff on the web 18 months ago, Jason and Adam have been the first of my go to guys with their magic web tutorials. I was a full time lip purser and only used tongue blocking for splits. I just want to become a better player and cant thank all the guys that put the time into doing these tutorials enough, it's brilliant and I'm back to doing a lot more serious practice than I have for a long time.
Nice. I been learning TongueBlock for a few months. My bends are just coming along. Just can't get the fullness and tone i can with LipPursed quite yet. Probably would come along much quicker if I practiced it more instead of just mixing it in with everything else. I mostly switch back to LP for my bends if im playing TB.
But i dig the video. Id definatly like to see more TB videos if your down to Make em. ----------
