I'm intrigued by the amp baffle that Scott Sharrard, a terrific NYC guitarist, is demoing in this video. I can see how it might assist on certain gigs:
I was up at the Grog in Newburyport, MA last summer on a Sunday checking out Parker Wheeler's weekly gig and saw that he played with a similar baffle.
My takeaway was that he was better able to control sound from bleeding out into surrounding mics and give a nicer overall mix. ---------- Ridge's YouTube
I used one when i play with my bassman. It make it possible to use a big amp on small clubs.. Even mic'ed up on small clubs. Nowadays i have smaller amps and it's no longer necesary in most places.
