I really should have mentioned this before but I have been... distracted.
I just attended my 2nd Joe Filisko - Eric Noden live internet mini-concert. It was nothing short of stupendous. Even better than the first, which happened a couple of weeks ago. Joe and Eric are vocally and demonstrably excited about this new (to them) venue. They dig it and it shows. I've never seen Joe so animated.
Luckily for you, there will be another concert at 7:00pm Chicago time. If you are a fan of acoustic blues duos, you should make time for this one. It's just Eric and Joe, sitting relaxed in front of a camera and (this time) a dedicated single mic', playing 12-13 songs over a period of about an hour and a half. I don't need to tell you how good they are.
Lots of fun and informative commentary by the guys. And the audience members can type in comments and links so it is an interactive session. The gents encourage audience "participation" and requests. People from all over the world make their own comments, requests and links.
It's a gas!
The best part: you "Pay what you want." Though a $10 donation is suggested, you can pay any amount over $1.
The guys are planning on more concerts so get in on the ground floor of this unique opportunity before it gets so big as to lose its intimate "Houseparty" atmosphere.
It's a no-brainer.

I was there, but could only stick around for an hour: I was starving, and the hotel didn't have room service. Also, you can't get those concerts on an iPad because they are flash based.

It was great! Not so much of a true concert, but more like Filisko & Noden playing in your living room. They didn't have a live audience present. It was all for the internet. There was a chat function, and you could make requests and crack jokes (which was encouraged.) It was a lot of fun.
