The French player JJ Milteau is one of my favourite harp players, grounded in Blues in his early career then extending his range into many other musical genres over time. Here is my attempt at a decidedly fun and French sounding JJM melody.

Nice job, G O. Always liked that one. One of Milteau“s greatest tunes, from his greatest CD.

Cheers Martin. I have to agree with the album choice. He is such a strong writer of melodic lines. He doesn't use overblows and yet does lovely seamless runs from high to low octave on solos. He's also comfortable using more than one harp during a song, recorded and live.

I haven't had the chance to see him play live yet. The nearest I came was when I intended travelling to a show in Paris but a transport strike screwed things up.

I have been in touch with him and he offered offered me BT's once. He's a nice guy.
