How cheap? link?
If the covers is all that is damage, you can use that harp whit Harpmaster covers (great match for the Manji comb) ---------- Sorry for any misspell, english is not my first language.

That looks like a custom mute job. I think my wife has planned similar operations. If it's cheap enough it might be worth it just for the comb and and the screws. The reed plates might even be good

Well maybe some reeds will be salvageable. If the covers are like that I wouldn't be surprised to find the reedplates also damaged and the combs in these are horrible (imho) when new. But spare reeds are worth having if you're a Suzuki player. Yes though...people are weird. On eBay Australia I see people trying to sell 'rare' marine bands for $100. These are like 80s models. And not even pristine. I offered someone $20 for an Eb they were advertising as E because they didn't know there was a difference. The wanted $35 which was too much considering a new one is $55 and this would need a bunch of work. $20 is my top offer for a secondhand harp but it would need to be really good for that..

Crawfore ... the wifes muting your harps is she? Lol.
The ebay post only had a few minutes on it when i posted and the wanted like $30.
Bee ... finally someone else who thinks the manji comb is trash. I don't like it either.
I would have considered buying it for a cheaper price, but surely there's more than cover damage here. ----------

Used harps can be priced crazy. But sometimes you can great deals. I bought 3 used 280s just trying to get pieces to fix a mouthpiece. Fixed the mouthpiece on the harp I wanted it for, and one of the harps was almost perfect, now I have 2 nice 280s and some spare parts. I find these days I spend more time tinkering than playing. But it's all fun.

Thanks Shakeylee! I actually could use another mouthpiece or two. I have a surplus of cover plates though. We should put up a spare parts thread for swapping spare bits out. If you want to make a trade or donation My email is Crawfordes at iCloud dot com Thank you
