What do you guys find? Will the two crunch better, or is the sound tighter with four? What would you put a 30 watt head through?

IMHO
Depends on the amp, the speakers, and the output impedance choices that are on the amp. No way to generalize on this.
Do you need to push a lot of air to play outdoors or larger rooms? If so, four 10s.
If you don't really need it, save your back and go with 2x10. ----------

Concensus on a harpforum.. wow!
There already is a very lightweight 4 10s box in my band - I'll stick with that than. Sounds sweet.
