After an exhaustive search for my final pedal for the Summer, I've happened upon the Boss PH-1 Phaser from the early 80's. I am in sweet, sweet love with my Boss DM-2 Delay, so I am hoping for more lightning in a (expensive) bottle.
Does anyone have any experience with this pedal? Thank you! Heath ---------- www.thebluesprofessors.com

When asking about 1980's Phaser Pedals I would guess that there are a very small percentage of harp players on this forum that could help you. Even guys who play cutting edge stuff with many pedals on a pedal board rarely have phaser pedals, in my experience. It's just not that common for amplified harp. Not that it couldn't sound good, of course, I'm just not sure there are a ton of guys that can help you with that. I have only ever used a reverb or delay pedal. I'm not a strict trad blues player but I like the basic trad sound. I believe if used tastefully a phaser may get you a kind of cool funky wha-pedal effect. If you are going for 1980's metal with phased distortion than that's a whole other bag. Guitar pedals for harp are a mixed bag and there can be problems with gain and how the pedal will translate the effect from a bending reed instrument. Good luck!
