I'm giving the keynote address at a conference this Friday, April 1, at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. The conference is called the Midwestern Conference on Language, Literature, and Media; the theme this year is "Keep the Change."

The title of my paper is "Giving It All Away: Race, Locale, and the Transformations of Blues Harmonica Education in the Digital Age." Talk, w/power point, from 7:30 to 8:30 or so. I don't know if it's open to the public, but I believe it is. I'll be talking about Junior Wells and Sonny Boy, Sugar Blue, Tony "Little Sun" Glover, Kim Wilson, Billy Branch, Jon Gindick, J. P. Allen, Nat Riddles, Mister Satan, Brandon Bailey, and of course the birth of my YouTube channel and Modern Blues Harmonica.
