This is one of my favorite CCR songs, and , I think, one of John Fogarty's best vocals. He had the dark vibrato of death for this track. His harp solo is a beautifully executed of gut-level basics, simple, deep, full of dread. I once played this when I was very young , still in high school, and my harmonica playing couldn't come near what JF was doing with so few notes.

This take on the classic is a little jumbled to my ears,as it seems like the guitar, bass and drums can't quite lock into a groove. I do, though, like your harmonica work here, a good tone, tasty fills, good shimmering vibrato. I like that you give a bit of the Butterfield/Musselwhite touch here. It just seems that you're struggling for the center with the other musicians. I would be fascinated to here another version of this, a little less competitive, so that the best elements of the song and the musicianship have a chance to really cook. Thanks for posting.
