I was burgled a week ago, they took my apple mac and other computer stuff while we were asleep upstairs.
Then they took my car keys and drove off in that.
All my many harps were right there and they left 'em
Am back on line and enjoying reading the forum and my car was found yesterday in good shape.
Keep safe people and lock them doors (we can't use guns here in uk but I know what you mean)

I've been in a similar situation multiple times. It's good that they only took things and did you no harm - speaking from experience it could have been much worse. Sucks to get robbed, but glad to hear you and yours are OK! And still having your harps is a bonus :)

damn nick. that sucks, but i guess it turned out to be not so bad in the end.
Guns ..... Well lets just say I got it Covered. (Understatement Of The Year.) Legal or not I'd have one over there as well.
Funny rules there in the UK. ---------- "Trust Those Who Seek The Truth. Doubt Those Who Say They Have Found It."

Sounds like u need a dog to wake u and if you cant have a pistol = a machete does nicely although a bit messy
Ballsy that they would enter an occupied dwelling
Happened to me back when I lived in a ruff area called Powelton Village in West Philly back in the 70's.
My German Shepherd tore the guy an extra a hole
Cops just laughed when they got there and saw the guy all torn up

If you had as many guns in the UK as we do here in the US, your burglar probably would have had one too. I'm not trying to start a gun debate, just thinking out loud.

I feel your pain. Last year my car was broken into. It was one of the only times I left my harp case in the car. Harp case was opened, but nothing taken. I could just imagine...... "oo this looks good. wait, what the fuh.."

Haha ... thats funny gary.
Heathen ... who s to say the burglar didnt there in the uk? Atleast here you can protect yourself. But ofcourse I'm not trying to start a debate either, just my train of though. Gun laws only are good for those who follow the laws to begin with.
Just like locks are for honest people. Again ... just simply a comment.
Dog face ... thats why i stopped buying cds for the longest time ... my car was broken into and my whole cd collection taken .. twice. And this was back when i was a sound tech. So i had demos, pre released, and other rare irreplaceable albums from all over the country. Sucked balls. ---------- "Trust Those Who Seek The Truth. Doubt Those Who Say They Have Found It."

@ Shaky- Thimk MOVE vs Rizzo Course the Brown Bombber made it a real tragedy in the '80's
It was edgy then but we had a good arts community My friend Joe Tiberino and his wife Ellen ( sadly passed) had a gallery there and we had lots of art and music events
Chubby Checker lived up the street on Lancaster Ave.
The Majestic bar ( a dump but great name) had some music and art jams too Music every week at Belmont Plateau too
I suppose its probably getting gentrified now
My grandmother grew up in the Strawberry Mansion area back in the 30's--believe it or not it was really nice then
West Philly had a great history-- Myself, I am Overbrook High class of'69--THAT was scary

@ Garry: That reminds me of a joke that was told to me. A banjo player stops at a bar on his way to a gig. After about an hour, he realizes that he left the car unlocked with his banjo lying on the back seat. Quickly he runs out to lock his car, only to find TWO banjos lying on the backseat.

I detest thieves and I hope they get what's coming to them some day.I've had my '74 Les Paul and '75 Fender P bass stolen from a home burglary and CDs autographed by Gary Primich and Lee McBee stolen from my locked vehicle.
