In another thread I mentioned rebuilding a Multivox Premier T-8. After doing a bit of hunting around I found the perfect source of info @ www.deepbluesharp.com

An electrical engineer walks through the design of the whole series through the years and critiques the changes in videos while providing schematics and spreadsheets with macros for calculations.

Nice to have an EE looking over my shoulder as I am a sub-par tech at best. My Dad, an EE & ME, taught me Ohm's Law and how to stay alive during TV repair but for all my other questions I was referred to books.

Even if you are not working on this particular model line he provides invaluable information that applies to all amps.

BTW, Can someone ID the Fender speakers? The ink stamp has worn off. Thanks!

Today I will draw the current schematic in Acad. Here are a some before pix:

Those amps are highly regarded for harp, with the original speakers. I would leave them be also unless screwed up..BN

Thanks to all for your input!

From what I've gathered, the Fender speakers are not original but if they have 'the sound' and are in good shape I will stick with them. I decided that I'm going to treat this as a cleanup & repair with care. I'll wick and rewire as point to point after replacing the tube sockets.

I never heard of 'orange drops' and did a quick search because the polarity was a mystery while I was drawing. They are going to go away (not far) just because I never dealt with them. There are also a couple of other electrolytic caps that look very much like those that caused me much grief at burn-in when I was slapping PC parts together for resale many years ago. They are going away forever.

You don't have to worry aboyt polarity on orange drops.
I always use 630V Mallory 150's when i repair old amps.
