Its pretty easy actually. Ive done one myself. Sugar cain did this a while ago. He just decided to bring it back for some rreason.

James Conway has a pipe tuning that has a drone note on both inhale and exhale.
Several years ago Scottish moothie wizard Donald Black persuaded Hohner to come out with a pipe tuning, but not with a drone. He plays double-sided Echo tremolos, and on the A side the G# is tuned down to G, for a Mixolydian scale in first position (and a G major chord on the draw). The resulting harp was called the Highlander. Hohner never marketed it to pipers as Donald intended, and it's no longer made. =========== Winslow
