I thought it might be interesting to dig back into the archives and find the very first video that some harp players uploaded to YouTube. My own first video has been out of circulation--private--almost since the beginning. I put it out on February 22, 2007 as an experiment. I literally did not understand how wireless networks works. I kept looking up at the sky as I uploaded it, wondering where the radar nets that made it possible were located. (I didn't have my own wireless network--didn't have any internet connection at all!--and so I was stealing bandwidth from somebody else.)
Here's Ronnie Shellist's first:
Jason Ricci's:
Chris "Buddha" Michalek:
Christelle's:
Hakan's:
David Barrett's:
Harpsucker was on YouTube in March 2006--very early!:
Gindick was there in August 2006: another very early YT harmonica pioneer
Dennis Gruenling's first video was September 2006. Interestingly enough, it was seeing video--a jam session in which he and I went head to head--that convinced me I should upload my own stuff.

Don't know about video, but the first audio recording of Jason was up on the Live Music Archive at archive.org on November 11, 2004. You can hear it here

This is a cool topic. Wow 2006! Nostalgia ain’t what it used to be. Really enjoyed that Adam/Dennis head to head. Barrett's is very good isn’t he. Nice one Gnarly.
I’m a latecomer from the minor league….2009!! My first was a Bon Iver cover on Guitar + Vox (no harp) called Re:Stacks - an Indie song
And my first blues harp song on YT was Little Sonny’s The Creeper Returns also in 2009.
Adam's got the gangsta rims on that old Honda. ---------- "The blues are the roots of all American music. As long as American music survives, so will the blues."...Willie Dixon
