Little did I realize that a blown-out Sp. 20 makes a surprisingly effective bridge and saddle for a 3-string diddley bow.

This is how some codgers (aka: me) who live in the boonies amuse themselves; they build ridiculous noisemakers out of junk.

Now if I can just figure out how to play this critter while wearing a neck rack . . .

looks good, but not to rain on your marketing campaign or anything but I'd call that a 3 string CBG. Diddley bows are typically one string as far as I've seen.

Hey Moose

No rain and no worries. It's probably got more in common with the type of "bow" played by folks like Richard Johnston, Pat McDonald, and various of the other CBG crowd. The main difference is that most of these bow-type cbgs are double- broomstick necks with no peghead. This is a single dowel, scarfed to accept a regular peghead.

I've built a couple hundred more traditional cbgs . . . but this one I just did mostly for me. Like I said, I'm basically trying to use it for basic rhythm while wearing a neck rack.

The busted up Sp 20 was just laying around so I used it as a bridge.

Again, I'm easily amused
