I really dig Lee's sound and his lessons. I think he does a great job here breaking down one of my favorite aspects of blues harp playing and that's tongue slappin'!

BTW, does anyone know if his book is ever coming out?

Good one, Mike! It's worth being reminded of basic techniques. Although I learned to play tongue blocked, sometimes these fundamentals slip by the wayside as I learn more complicated licks and rhythms.
Lee Sankey plays his harmonica upside down. Weird. ---------- Marc Graci YouTube Channel

Butterfield played upside down too but he wasn't much of a slapper!
yeah, the tongue slap itself is indeed a fundamental element of playing TB'd. I don't think the application Lee goes into here is basic at all though. Mastering the sound he gets is quite difficult IMO..
