Does anyone here have any experience with Sonic Junction, good or bad?

For $19.95 a month, they've got lessons by Jerry Portnoy, Rick Estrin, Bruce Willis and Dennis Gruenling. It seems like a mix of original stuff and approaches to blues standards. Personalized feedback from those guys if you submit a video of your playing. Seems like worthwhile.

I've been subscribing for a while. I have been working on Rick Estrin's "Getting Out of Town" for some time and asked him some questions during a break in his performance in my area a few months ago. He suggested that I go to Sonic Junction where there is a series of short videos in which he breaks down what he's doing and how. It was interesting and helpful, as are the chorus by chorus breakdowns of a lot of famous harp tunes, provided by Jerry Portnoy, Dennis Gruenling, and Estrin. I haven't submitted any videos, but am taking private lessons from a pro and get already get constructive feedback on my playing.

I think there is a free trial period, so perhaps you can try it out and see if it would be useful to you before committing to the monthly fee.

Do you also get the guitar lessons for that price? I have considered trying it but haven't yet. I would also like to know what others who have tried it think.

I've been, in a small measure, a contributor to Sonic Junction since its inception. Much improved from when it started out.

It's a great resource and worth the $ if you are a serious student.

My understanding is that once you are a member, you have access to all teachers and all lessons.

did for few monthes Jerry portnoire stuff was SUPER GOOD for harp I was tired of standard turnarounds on guitar-- Duke R had easy to follow and learn stuff-- leaning more towards 6 2 5 1 info ===both were VERY WORTH IT

I am a member. Don't use it as much as I should. Rick Estrin gives a lot of forensic detail into SBWII style playing. I think it is probably worth the price of admission for this alone. I've looked at some of Corey Harris's singing stuff too.

Must get back into it...
