To me, there is no other harmonica player, past or present, that can play and make music as powerful/emotional and technically amazing as JAson Ricci can.
This is my feable attempt to pay tribute to my favorite harp player.
Sick. I heard the next song on the album start in my head. That was tight bro. ---------- "Trust Those Who Seek The Truth. Doubt Those Who Say They Have Found It."
I've had a reality check with the speeds current players are achieving and I'm envious of your speed. My tongue is like a dead fish and my chugging is soooo slooow. Keep at it, it'll come.
Good playing but maybe I'm missing something here. Would this not be a tribute to Lee Oskar? This song was/is a classic rock hit played by War, the band Lee Oskar was in...BN
BN .... Its part of the "Jasons solo" track on the dirty memory album. I heard him play it live last week. Twice. It was killer. ---------- "Trust Those Who Seek The Truth. Doubt Those Who Say They Have Found It."
For those that don't know. Heres the track. Check it.
Carl A was pretty spot on.
I like at the end, the noises he makes when he gets outta breath. He is human afterall, who'da thunk it? ---------- "Trust Those Who Seek The Truth. Doubt Those Who Say They Have Found It."

Thanks for watching and taking the time to post. It is greatly appreciated :)
Jason is performing here in south Florida soon for the Riverwalk blues festival and I believe a couple gigs in delray. Can't wait to see him and his band play :)

CarlA - that was hardly feeble. I think you got it down. Practice it 1000 more times and I think you will approach the speed and fluidity that Jason has. ---------- Tom Halchak www.BlueMoonHarmonicas.com
CarlA, hopefully I don't throw this thread too off topic but I'm curious.
What do you guys think on this song is Jason playing the 12 bar blues form or is it more of a free style? If it is the 12 bar blues form where is the first downbeat? And is this 2nd pos on a C harp?
