Sometimes music is the best job in the world. Sometimes it's the worst. Sticking with it all these years hardens some parts of me and softens others like boiling water does to different foods. This was a tune JJ picked out a few hours before the gig... We went over it just one time before the show and then here it is played for the first time. It's beautiful. Very, lucky, humbled and grateful to still be here making music with so many diverse sounds from so many different people. This last tour has been amazing. Three bands two month straight (Hummel's blow out, JJ Appleton and now the Bad Kind). Thanks so much for all your support everyone I really mean that I have met a bunch of you on the road and we've had some cool talks! I love when people mention the forum and tell me their screen names…. I'm in love with all the wonders of life again!-Jason
Nice, never heard the original song but I like this. I don't tend to refer to myself by my screen name but I did say hi that venue in Arden was pretty chill both figuratively and literally, ha.

Sometimes the best performances are those that are in the moment without pre-rehearsing.
This was one of the ways Miles Davis was able to get his musicians to "play above what they know".
For instance, the whole recording of "Kind of Blue" was done by Miles giving his players sketches of ideas or scales on a small piece of paper just before recording and telling them to play off of that. No rehearsals, not much thought - just astounding results. ---------- The Iceman

Hi Jason, Please continue working with these guys. I think you sound great with them and your acoustic playing shows off a lot of the more subtle elements of your style that sometimes can get hidden in the more frantic, full-electric stuff. I'm a fan either way, but I think your collaboration with Mr. Appleton and his bassist is really some of your best work.
@Moon Cat, I second Cliffy's wish that you keep up the acoustic playing in addition to your electric stuff. I've always loved your acoustic tone from your YT lessons, and am now jazzed to hear your acoustic performances. Keep on meowing...
Edit: I see that I've just reached the one kilopost level, and am happy to have done it with a tip of the hat to the Moon Cat. ----------

Sounds great as usual. I will be making the 140 mile drive to see your show in Tallahassee on Thursday. Looking forward to hearing you and the band--99
