I've just worked up a page on this website dedicated to overblowing, primarily in a blues context. I haven't yet decided where to place it in the side-of-the-homepage index, so for now the link below is the only access. It includes a brief and opinionated narrative history of overblowing. Please take a look, suggest additions and (if merited) corrections.

overblow page at MBH

I'm particularly interested in three things:

1. Links to key overblow websites

2. the best videos on YouTube dedicated to teaching overblow technique (i.e., to begin with, the best videos by Chris Michalek and Jason on this specific subject)

3. performance videos by blues players who utilize overblows in a discernable way.

I've put a half dozen obvious performance videos up, but I'm happy to expand my offerings here. I haven't yet put up any teaching videos. Please suggest away on both fronts.

This is a great idea, and puts MBH right into the "Modern" of blues harp playing. I enjoy the trad stuff, but one can't help but marvel at the journey of the harmonica. After all, it was never designed to bend, or play blues at all, let alone venture into chromaticism. So, great idea!
I'm sure it won't be too long before a section devoted to chromatic harp in blues will appear...

I find www.overblow.com a great scource of information related to overblowing.
The site is made by Tinus Koorn.
In 2009, Tinus graduated from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague (Holland) and became the first diatonic harmonica player who graduated jazz harmonica.
He only uses 1 harp te play in every key.
