This amp has been out for years now. Do people still like and play this amp? I've never seen or heard one in person. Are they loud enough for club gigs, jams, etc? Thanks, Jay ---------- Music speaks where words fail.

I recently saw a fellow over here was looking for a second one because he wanted to hook them together. I've heard one at our blues club, but that player doesn't use it anymore...he imported an HG 50 chassis and installed in locally made cab. That's it. Oh, I played that one at the club and I struggled to hear it and decided not to buy one, but it was years ago and I wasn't able to adjust the settings from how the owner had it, was just handed a mic to play on one song...but found the amp underwhelming. It was a pretty full stage though, with 4 or 5 pieces plus 3 harp players. I gather the owner thought it wasn't enough amp for his gig either. They are a pretty loud 5 piece soul blues outfit. I thought the amp sounded good, when I could hear it.

Positives: Nice amp, well made, sounds good. Relatively small and light for a 2 speaker rig, makes for easy transport.
Downsides (IMO): The amp has an inherent hum that I find annoying at home, and makes recording the amp miced problematic, although there is a direct out.
Also, I wish the amp had an external speaker jack.
Will it be loud enough for your purposes? Can't answer that.

Good amps. Easily loud enough for club gigs and jams. Line out fitted, so if they need a boost you can stick 'em in the PA. Very light amps and sound good with any decent mic. 545's sound particularly good through them.
