I thought about the late Johnny Billington, Mississippi blues hero, today and found this video, which has the sort of killer groove that made me want to play this music in the first place. The harmonica element is minimal--and that's because I gave away my miking so that Mr. Johnny could shine. That's part of the deal. That's what you do when a real master strides into the room. The moment this video finishes, I want to play it again.
Please note: half of the guitar playing is coming from George Worthmore, my friend and hero from the NYC/Dan Lynch blues scene.
