OK, I just got a big Stack 'O Peavey. Merry Christmas and happy birthday all in one. A Classic 50 410 with a 115 cab for crazy cheap money. This thing "smokes" so far. I just put it a Jenson Jet Falcon and was amazed at the difference for the price. Looking forward to doing more. Suggestions are welcome. Happy New Year!

I struggled with a Classic 50 years ago. Even took it to the guy in Weatherford TX who built some of the original Sonny Jr's. Solid state rectifier was not change-able. Gain cutter tube didn't help with the guys I was with at the time- 100 watt guitar amps just killed the 50.
I hope you have more success than I did with mine!

Thanks jbone. I found it hard to manage until I ran my mic through a Butler Blue Tube. That box has turned into the lynchpin of my rigs. Tons of tone and it will blow the windows out. First gig with this thing coming up. With any luck should have audio to share.
