I'm afraid you'll only be able to see the above video if you have a Facebook account

Last night we celebrated the 10th anniversary of our now world famous jam, with a special show featuring the Ford Brothers Band, INCLUDING Robben Ford. Southern California guitar great Kirk Fletcher made a guest appearance in this number. But that isn't what this post is about. Listen to Mark Ford's solo - the band came WAY down and he pulled off a beautiful true-to-Mark Ford acoustic solo - sweetest acoustic tone you will ever hear. The beginning of his solo was even quieter than this and sounded exactly like a muted trumpet.Of course during the amplified portion Mark sounded awesome using his BlowsMeAway Productions custom wood mic.

There was a point where Mark made a run up to the 10 blow and it wouldn't sound. See? Happens to the best of us. Didn't phase him and he never tried that hole again......

Greg, you run a top of the food chain jam. Robben Ford and Mark Ford are world class players and a couple of my top favorite musicians.

Greg, this was great and the tone is special.
Editorial note: if you videoed this, there is zero reason to hold the phone vertical -you just lose ~50% of what the screen can capture. Video horizontal.

@Groyster - Mark retired from the EMT job. So he is playing more, though not a great deal. It is very rare these days to get to see him with brother Robben, though he performs more regularly with the other guys (Pat Ford, Dewayne Pate, Volker Strifler.)
