I got asked to do a last minute Cajun Blues gig. I've played with them at the same venue before using a stock Blues Jr (it belongs to the guitar player and he had it set up for me to sit in), which was loud enough.

The amp won't be miked, but it will be elevated. The drummer hits fairly hard, but not rock-drummer hard. They play with a lot of dynamics. Again, the BJ was loud enough and there wasn't feedback (master on 10, volume around 4-5).

That being said, I have a Victoria 5112 sitting at my house. It is stock too. My heart wants to bring and use that amp, but my brain is saying the BJ is probably louder and will cut through better. Again, I don't have the option to mike FOH. It is a small room.

Thoughts? Either amp can be put on a chair or stand. It is a small room, and while I'd love to use my Heumann Element - bullet into the Vicky, my SM58 into the BJ will for sure work just great.

But the bullet/Vicky is sorta the sound of god, while the SM58/BJ is different (but probably closer to my typical sound). I fear the BJ/bullet WILL feedback.

My suggestion is to go for more power and take both mics. You need to be heard, and the Vic is iffy in that setting. If the bullet causes feedback at the needed volume, use the 58.

The 5112 is a 5 watt amp and 5 watt amps, unless you play in a super low volume setting that has an unamplified stand up bass player on the gig and musicians who are able to keep their volume way down without a problem, ain't gonna cut it and a Blues Junior or a Pro Junior, which are 15 watt amps will more easily cut thru. With either mic with the Blues Junior, just make sure the treble is never set higher than 3 and with the bullet mic, you may want to consider turning the treble all the way down.

The 5112, is like using a Tweed Champ, and they're awesome for recording, but rarely ever good for gigging, especially in a band situation and if you deal with a sound guy who likes to make the stage volume of the monitors really loud, you're asking for a feedback nightmare. Drummers who hit really hard have a tendency to have tons of problems controlling their volume ad also tend to suck at dynamics.
