This is good authentic stuff here! Do these guys all play together? Reason I ask, the harp guy seems to be a little busy. ---------- http://www.reverbnation.com/jawboneandjolene
check out the stink eye from sonny to the harp player about 44 sec. heck he was just adjusting the amp.
seems to be a very good player, however he was rushing the groove a little, this is really slow blues. hey it happens... no harm no foul. the best way to judge if you are in the pocket.... are there people dancing? tapping there feet clapping their hands.
for some reason the amp and mic look familar i would venture a guess, that they belonged to william clarke. looks like an echoplex there as well. ---------- if i type in the correct captcha why is my post lost in cyber-space
i could be mistaken, bill typically did not use a volume control on his mic. ---------- if i type in the correct captcha why is my post lost in cyber-space
They were all part of the Minneapolis scene. They played together a lot. RJ showed me this video years ago. Sonny Rodgers was featured on a Mojo Buford LP called Mojo Buford's Chicago Blues Summit. I think this video was from a block party or something like that. He told me. I forgot. You can hear some Big Walter influence on his tone. ---------- The Blues Photo Gallery
