To avoid misspelling our names we decide to get a special name for our duo. Now we call ourselves "Boulder Fall" and we just finished AC/DC acoustic guitar/electric harmonica cover.
Well mate, gotta say I loved the harp solo. I like heavy guitar solos translated well to harp, and you nailed it.
As for the rest... techno funk AC/DC with Russian accent? Nyet for me.
I think I got an inkling of the feeling of cultural appropriation (or misappropriation) that some afro americans may feel when us white boys play the blues! ---------- Lucky Lester
For me it was great, especially considering you're playing a hard rock track with just acoustic guitar and harp. Personally I wouldn't worry about the cultural appropriation thing. Just because English is not your first language shouldn't mean you can't enjoy playing and singing to a classic track from one of Australia's finest exports. Let's face it, most forms of music have borrowed from or been influenced by different cultures along the way. Rock on!
Cultural Appropriation? With the exception of Charlie McCoy and Toots, I thought that was the definition of harmonica as a musical instrument. Please appropriate some more.
There was no inherent cultural connection between accadacca and Australia after Bon Scott died. Or maybe after I turned 16. Similar time. I appreciate your skill Boris. That will be at best a novelty record for me, but that is simply a matter of taste and mine is very limited. I don't really like harmonica much outside of blues/jazz. I always find your playing is superb, Boris.
dougharps Thank you! Stay tuned for some original tunes soon.
didjcripey Thanks for opinion. Anyway it's fun for us, I love electronic music and acoustic guitar at the same time. We're looking for way to connect our style to non-russian speaking audience.
Adam Pritchard Thank you!
shadoe42 Thanks! Glad you like the name, it wasn't easy to choose it.
