Save the date: Thursday, June 23, 2016.
Sara Brown of the North Mississippi Hill Country Picnic has asked me to organize a repeat of last year's one day harmonica teaching event in Holly Springs, Mississippi. It was a fun and informative time, last time around.
We've got three of four teachers locked in place:
Jason Ricci Watermelon Slim Adam Gussow
I'm waiting on word from a fourth offer that I've extended.
More details as I have them. But this is 100% happening. The cost for the day, like last year, will be $100 + a small ($3.50??) service fee.

fwiw I attended last years "Holly Springs harp thing" .. It was a very good experience and I'd recommend it , The Hill Country Picnic was also pretty good and , since you'd be in the immediate area anyways , may as well check it out too !
For those that may not be familiar with Watermelon Slim … he is a very very good entertainer , player , singer , writer .. and one of the few, imo, white, real deal 'bluesman' .

Excited about this. Just wrote it in on the family calendar.
Thursday is an interesting choice?

The North Mississippi Hill Country Blues Festival is that Friday and Saturday. Sara Brown, the organizer, gave me Thursday.
