The Harmonica Collective will gather from April 6-9, 2016, in Indianapolis.

For full details and to register, visit harmonicacollective.com

Expert Guides for 2016 will be:

Jason Ricci
PT Gazell
Winslow Yerxa
Ross Garren

with Special Guest Star: Buzz Krantz

We’ll have 3 1/2 days of small-group classes, large-group panels, and jamming, from some of the top players and teachers in the field.

New to our roster is Ross Garren. Ross is a film composer who is infiltrating harmonica into Hollywood one lick at a time. As a teen he studied with both David Barrett and Winslow Yerxa, and now he’s a quadruple threat on diatonic chromatic, bass, and chord harmonicas. Check out his bio and playing clips at harmonicacollective.com.

PT Gazell is the swing daddy of the half-valved diatonic. Not only is he a great player and chill guy, he’s also a fabulous teacher.

Jason Ricci is, well, Jason - a bundle of whirlwind energy who’s eager to share, enthuse, encourage, and engage in over-the-top virtuosity, insights, and inspiration. He comes trailing a 2015 Grammy for his work with Johnny Winter, a recent BMA nomination, and his first European tour in several years.

Winslow Yerxa is the eminence grise behind the whole enterprise. Author of Harmonica For Dummies and Blues Harmonica For Dummies, and past president of SPAH, WInslow teaches, plays, and works with Jason to produce this event.

Just a quick FWIW. I attended the Collective this past April and had a great time. I would strongly encourage everyone to attend. It is like going to a Harmonica University cram session. It was tremendous.

Maybe more like the whiskey jack (or wiss-ka-chon for Algonquin speakers)

@Winslow Yerxa
My recollection is that of your role being that of
The Great Pharaoh Yerxa...

Harmonica Collective is a great experience, and if you attend you cannot help but be inspired and learn! Great teachers who are easily accessible, limited class sizes, lots of information, many opportunities to learn.

I probably won't be able to make it this year. I am still trying to figure out if I can somehow find the cash. I am planning for SPAH in August, so the money is stretched pretty far already.
