OK, so I know the sound quality is not the best, but if you listen close you can hear my Harmonica, lol. This was my first time ever jamming with a band, much less in front of people, but I think it could have gone a lot worse. I've been playing for about 6 months now. I was on house arrest for a year and a half for some green, and I picked up the harp on my last few months. I am finally off now and ready to go though!!

Hopefully this is the start of a lot more shows, I already got booked to play on New Years Eve with this same band plus a really amazing Soul singer named Avery Young here in Chicago, and then maybe a secret late night set with the DJ/producer guy from this video. It should be pretty fun, hopefully I will have some better quality videos of that.

Let me know what you think!!

Moody in a good way or a bad way, Goldbrick?

I'm sorry you didn't like the "hoody guy". He is a Grammy-nominated emcee from the band Liquid Soul (acid-jazz band from Chicago).. Considering that was his band that was playing, and that he is one of my best friends I don't think he is going anywhere, lol. But I do appreciate the input. The crowd loves him, btw..

I like your moody sound. I thought his was shite, poser crap but I am an old guy so whatta I know.

And Im hate the hoody thing -is he in the witness protection program

An emcee grammy is like being the best belcher in the 2nd grade for what thats worth- not that there is anything wrong with being a good belcher>>

Crowds love the Kardassians too-for what thats worth too

First of all, well done for getting up there and getting involved.
It all sounds interesting, the music that is, but ill be honest that on my phone speakers I struggled to pick up much detail re your harp playing.
Next time get someone to sit a mic next to your amp or something.

From what I hear you have good natural timing. You are keeping it simple and that is very good. Keep at it man. Don't go gear crazy. Just play!!!

Thanks Barley, I know what you mean about going gear crazy, i was kinda guilty of that my first few months, but I was stuck at home so what else could I do? I have settled (for now) on using an SM57 through a Digitech RP360 XP running a few modified versions of Richard Hunters patches. I call them my "shock" patches. They pretty much just sound like gritty blues amps but when you hit the expression pedal it makes a crazy space-shock vibrato sound which you can kind of hear at .23 on the first video.. I enjoy it..

Ian- Thanks for listening anyways, I will try to get a better recording next time around. I think the issue is that I am plugged straight into the PA and the speakers are behind where the video is being shot from.. It was a rushed set-up so I didn't have an amp or anything onstage (I waited til the very last minute when the band was almost done and finally just said ahhhh f*ck it, its now or never, lol)
