Here is a video of some dudes that i jam with about 2-3x a year. I try to have a tasteful place on the harp and not to play too much, but am i playing enough? Thoughts? Sorry i havent spent the time to learn how ro successfully post a link. https://youtu.be/OKu_5JxALcE
Definitely playing enough--sounded good, fit with the song, and added a nice feel. Too much? That depends on what your band mates and perhaps mostly the vocalist is wanting from you. For most of it, I figured the Mando player was only going to play rhythm, so I cut you some slack -- appearing to be the only lead instrument. But by the end I saw that the mando was interested in playing some lead -- would have been better to bring that in sooner rather than appearing to be an after thought.
I cant help the volume of the harp. At the time i thought i was too loud. the singer is playing my guitar and sing through my mic through my harp amp. So i just ised the back up singers mic. As far as the groove... I dont understand. I just follow the bass player. On up beat songs i will punctuate the up beat (2&4)

The harp sounded good to me . A good jam. I have the Marshall Tucker album and this is the first time i have heard/seen this song live.I was singing along.Well done to you(ya)all.
The singer loses his place between strums and singing and thats what messes the rhythm up.
Bass is concentrating on the licks which is cool- but in this situation he should be strong on the one to keep everybody together and the other guitar strong on the 2 and 4
