Well, I'll be darned. Rick Estrin and the Nightcats are doing two other Florida shows in addition to their appearance at the early December Bradenton Blues Festival. They are sandwiching the festival with a show at the Bamboo Room (Lake Worth), and Earl's Hideaway (Sebastian, FL). The Nightcats have never played Earl's before. It is a great outdoor blues venue about an hour from Orlando with tiki bar goodness, and an eclectic crowd every Sunday afternoon. Can't wait. Anybody else going?

Thanks. It seems Rick's website doesn't have the Jacksonville Beach date, but his Facebook page does indeed show a fourth Florida show.

Of all the great bands on the Blues Cruise, consensus was that Rick Estrin and the Nightcats put on the best show overall. These guys are great musicians AND great entertainers. I heartily recommend you go see them!

Hey Tom - Central Florida...Cocoa Beach area. I think I've seen you at some events, but have never been introduced. Beer is on me next time. ;-)
Greg - I'm pretty sure I have a picture of Rick playing one of your wooden mics at the Alley in Seattle last January. I'll see if I can find it and email you.

Johncn - You've probably seen me at the Florida Harmonica Championships. I had a table set up there a couple of years. I haven't been in the past 3 due to scheduling conflicts. I accept your offer for the beer. I drink Blue Moon. :) Drop me a line some time so I have your contact info. You never know when I might be up that way.

Just a bump to this topic to remind any MBH members in Florida about Rick Estrin and the Nightcats' free show at Earl's Hideaway in Sebastian, Florida tomorrow afternoon. Should be a great time.

I was at the Jax beach show. Wife and I had a great time- all great performers. Rick and his guitar player, Kid Anderson worked off each other. Keyboard player also did duty on base guitar. Anderson did a 20 minute Surf guitar shred that was a lot of fun.
