Well back in the day when he brought out The Hard Way album the opening cut was "The Boss" and myself and those I knew who were into him started referring to him as the Boss and let's be honest why not he had it all, amazing chops, voice, songwriter and who improvised trad blues harp like him?! Pretty fitting only Paul delay came as close (well, in hindsight Butterfield as well).

19 years...Wow.....The first time I saw him I sat with Johnny Winter at Manny's Car Wash. Energetically no-one matched his verve. Easy to talk to too. Zach (the guitar soloist in the first video) was a friend back then......I completely get the comparison with Paul deLay.....Both were Olympians with no duality between themselves and their music! ---------- Facebook
I have that "Shit, Shower & Shave" it's allegedly from a double bootleg of Alligator records studio outtakes about 24 tracks. Don't know why Alligator never cleaned them up and put them out if that's the case.
