Yeah heard this a while back I love that era in fact any era of Rod. Man dunno if Rod get's credit for being one of the main men in the whole quest for amp tone thang...obviously George Smith was right into that as well but yeah Rod is a legend no matter what anyone says large body of work behind him huge influence what more can you say he was modern blues harmonica up until modern blues harmonica!lol

That would put him at 31 years old in 78.
I consider Rod to be the best living blues harp player and his contribution to the blues is tremendous.
Marine your right, he is definitely a pioneer when it comes to the quest for the ultimate harp tone by having his amps modded decades ago and helping to develope what I consider the best harp amp on the planet, the Harp King 6-10.

I definitely hear some LW influence in this tune.
