Hello everyone!
I am still in the stone age, mostly buying CDs. One of the main ways I practice is transcribing songs and playing them with the Amazing Slow Downer.
Either my Mac or my ASD keeps kicking out the CD half way through playback of the song. This has occurred with multiple CDs.
Is there a way to take a song from a CD and turn it into a file that can be opened by ASD?
I really don't want to find a song I like on a CD, then buy it as a file, but that may be the only solution. Any other ideas? Thanks!

OK I'm not the most savvy at this I still learn songs from CDs/records...listen, play along, stop go back and so on... also and I'm not familiar with ASD... but can you not just rip the CD as an MP3 and select tracks you want to use? ----------

Yes, use iTunes to rip the cd. I don't like default format (m4u or somewhat) it's "safe" so it doesn't let audacity etc open it. Change it in preferences to .wav if you want full quality or MP3 if ya don't.
Edit: I do not know the ASD. Do you need to buy to get the whole track? I think Harmonicatunes said something along those lines. Audacity will slow down for you and it is absolutely free... ---------- Pistolkatt - Pistolkatts youtube

Yep, do that. That's what ripping is about :). Remember to change the preferred file extension first. You can just search for the file after that if you don't know where it'll end up. ---------- Pistolkatt - Pistolkatts youtube

Gee, you type fast for a computer idiot :)
Use the search tool, I would guess it's just to grab and drop into ASD when you have found it... But as I said I'm not familiar with ASD. It also possible that the program won't let you slow down the whole track w/o purchase. See my post above... ---------- Pistolkatt - Pistolkatts youtube
