Hi,
Just acquired an EV630 from fleabay. I think it is HiZ as it works through guitar amps etc.
Plug connection is a mess and the plate / switch is missing.
I intend to put a guitar lead socket in there and a volume control where the switch was.
Could someone point me at a suitable value / spec for the volume control please?

Any value around 100k to 200k will be fine

I don't know of any volume control on the market that will work in the space where the switch is? Problem is isolating the pot from the shell. As far as I'm concerned, it can't be done.

Years ago I bought several EV630s, hi and low-z, and one hi-z had a wrecked connector. It still had a working switch. I fit a 1/4" connector in the "pistol grip." It would be very difficult to cram in a potentiometer. I ended up using a guitar cable that had a potentiometer built into the connector, and it worked fine.
