...musicians especially Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway and Brazil cos apart from the good ol' US of A and and a little in the UK these countries really produce some outstanding trad blues players I'm always so impressed they just get it!

This clip just inspired me to post this and I'm sure we all have our faves.

Thought these guys were a bunch o' Chicago Black Blues Musicians 'till I found out they were a white band from Austria. One of my favorite recordings is their first CD.

Revue written on Amazon -

"30 years in the business and Erik Trauner and the band keep on pumping out excellent, classy Chicago blues.
This Vienna, Austria, based band is very popular across Europe, and tours extensively.
The sound is tight, driving, blues with an excellent rhythm section and world class guitar work from frontmen
Erik and Siggi."

Maybe this post was more about blues musicians playing in a 2nd language or idiom? Well anyway I'm probably biased as it's my old stomping ground, but New Zealand has one or two (imo) world class blues musicians.

I'm not usually a particular fan of 6/8 slow blues (except when it's Otis Rush) but the guitar playing on this is staggering in it's tone and articulation. Soulful vocals and an original song.

Really liked those Mitch Kashmar clips. Great to hear a local pick up band that is not only talented but has really worked on the material and arrangements
