Any of you U.K. guys had dealings with Henry, recently? Sent him 3 harps to work on, 6 months ago, which he acknowledged receipt of; since then, not a word. No reply to any form of communication. Anybody have info on what's up or how to nudge him, short of actually going to Bristol? His service has been pretty good up until now, so i'm mystified.

Strange, I have used him many times and he has always been spot on. Maybe he is ill or injured, have you tried going via Facebook or You Tube?

From looking at Facebook it would seem a couple of people have been trying to get in touch with Slim without any luck, regarding harmonicas he's working on for them. Hope you get some kind of response from him soon.

Thanks, Nick. Henry has been in touch thanks to you, apparently my harps are now imminent.( Should i hold my breath, and if so, should i breathe through my nose and use my diaphragm, or just hope for the best?)

It's coming up to a year since henry got my harps, what are my options? 1) Optimism. Continue politely nudging him until he finally does the job. 2) Fatalism. Give up and write it off. 3) Brutalism. Jump in the car and zoom down to Bristol and bang on his door in fury. 4) Legalism. Take him to court. 5) Sarcasm. Send him an anniversary card and wish him well.
Any other choices, which would you recommend?

maybe ask for them back as is, and offer to do up some of his, since while you were waiting you have had to learn to work on your own harps, and have become quite adept. Maybe you could offer to take his overflow bookings

So, almost a year to the day my harps have arrived! Turns out, Sarcasm was the final straw. Came with an apology and offering a substantial discount, also undertaking not to take on more repair work. New dilemma, how long should i take to pay up? Paperwork's all ready on my desk but i am so busy. 12 months sound about right?

I agree with Joe. Pay him, thank him for the discount and move on. Live is far too short to be petty and delaying payment would only make you as bad as the person whom you perceive did you wrong.
