Having a guitarist who can provide solid rhythm and "not get in the way" of the harmonica player is vital. Check out the way in which Famous Frank of The Nucklebusters does this on a song we recorded called "Blues for Nance". The song was recorded in honor of my friends mother Nancy Fearn. The video highlights musicians and clubs from the 70's-80's in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts that were advertised in The Valley Advocate. You may even recognize some of them. Hope you enjoy!
Very nice and sweet! I am so fortunate to have an excellent guitarist as a partner as well. She has striven since day one to be what I need as a harp guy and singer. At the same time I have gotten to watch someone get better and better, to the point where she surprises me often with new stuff she is coming up with. She also has a great contralto voice, counterpart to my whiskey and cigarettes voice developed over years of bad habits. Point is though, if you are lucky enough to find a guitar partner who meshes well with you, hold on to them! ---------- http://www.reverbnation.com/jawboneandjolene
