OK it’s not the superb SBWII vocals and harp version, but a harp only Flávio Guimarães style arrangement which I’m playing on a Ben Bouman Custom Session Steel harp. I’m using the often recommended 45 degree tilt but in entirely the wrong plane :) (horizontal rather than vertical axis) I didn’t realise this was so prominent until viewing this close-up vid of myself playing!
Sounds good but I want to know who often recommends the 45 degree tilt? I first seen someone doing horizontal tilt at SPAH a few years back and thought it was different.
RyanMortos. There was a 3 page discussion on MBH back in 2013 on the merits or otherwise of tilting the harp 45 degrees (the back of the harp up towards the nose) Here is the LINK
Here is a video of a former MBH poster SQrin playing and singing a very nice version of 'Help me' in the traditional style. There is also a link in the Video Description box to a free download of his clean backing track for a Bb harp.
