After more than two years of deliberation, I've just created a new MBH forum for beginners. I've received enough emails over the last couple of years asking for this that I decided it was time to move. Specific credit for nagging at me, however, must go to Guy Holford. He is a very patient man and never once acted in anything less than a gentlemanly fashion. He is the patron saint of this new sandbox and deserves huzzahs from all of you.

My initial worry about creating this sort of sub-forum was that it would dilute the wonderful ferment and intensity of the MBH forum homepage. I'm no longer worried about that. Y'all are talkative and combative enough that I believe the vigor will continue.

Please take a look, and please take a moment, all of you, to read the beginner's forum creed and (numbered) emphases. If you're an advanced or pro player, the new forum is not for you. Beginners and intermediates, needless to say, remain welcome in the main forum!

Note: you can easily access this forum by way of the BLUES HARP FORUM tab in the index on the left side of this page. Just hover the cursor over that tab and the various sub-directories will come up. The next to last one is "beginner forum." I will also link it near the top of the forum home page.

Whois: Guy Holford?

That could be fun. It'll need some traffic to lift off.

Pistolcat - that's me.

Thank you Adam for setting up the new forum and your kind responses to my nagging. I'll write a bit more in the forum itself, but just to say that the motive for this new forum is that it's hard to accommodate a huge range of experience in one place - rank beginner to seasoned pro.

I'll just stress the point that beginners and intermediates are still actively encouraged to post in main forum too, and that would typically be to ask specific questions or get feedback from the experienced players. Like they do at the moment, in fact.

good idea. why not add a link at the top of the beginner page bringing one back to the main forum site for those that like to check up on both areas?
