Have never been able to figure out the right key harp for this version of the song. The blow notes of an A flat seem to match somewhat, but could it be played that way? Please forgive my lack of knowledge, but I need help! I like these variants of the song best.

There's a Dennis Gruenling interview somewhere where he says that he wishes this album would be reissued at correct pitch, so I think there's something off with the pitch on the whole album. But it's great stuff by BW for sure.

That is from the 64 recordings with Robert Nighthawk for the Swedish radio. The other side of the record is Butterfield. Unfortunately, the whole of the Horton side (with the exception of one song) is a semi-tone too low. This is actually more common than you might think. You can speed the whole thing up with Audacity, for example. This song should be in A, here Ab obviously.

"try a Db"

Yep, it's in Ab, as recorded.

You're right. Got a new golden melody in Db today and it's right on. Thanks for the advice. I love this version way more than the more popular version. Much more soulful.
