The Tony Eyers Trio have recorded a track featuring the Hohner Thunderbird. The tune is "Shady Grove", you can see it here

The lead instrument is a Hohner Thunderbird low low G harmonica, tuned to Major Cross by Australian customiser Neil Graham. I've been impressed by the Thunderbird since it first appeared, however difficulties with low register bends limit its scope for tunes. The Major Cross tuning frees it up, and unleashes the melodic potential of this instrument.

Check it out, let us know what you think.

Great use of the instrument, Tony! I like the sound of those low and low low keys. They almost get a cello quality.

I think you mean a low G and not low, low, though.

Thanks for posting.
