Marine, I realize that but Destin isn't responding and theres others here that may want to hear it.
It's rare to find a good new video of a HK 6-10.
This is the new harp player for the 44's. His name is Jacob Huffman and he's only 20 years old. He took over for Tex Nakamura and it looks like he's playing a Mark Overman custom orange mic.
For those that don't know the 6-10 and the 4-10 are quite different.

As much as I dig Rod, (my favorite player) ts nice to hear someone else play a 6-10 that doesn't sound like Rod, that's kind of the point.

Yeah, I know what you mean if they are a good player that is, mind you there is dennis G & Rick Estrin they use HK a lot they don't really sound like Rod.

@Harpaholic: Thanks for noting that; I didn't realize the 4x10 and 6x10 Harp King were that different (besides the power and number of speakers). What are the main differences between the two?
Harpoon, besides the obvious differences like speakers, power tubes, transformers, the tone between the two is similar, but the 6-10 has more bottom end, thicker tone, and more horn like. Plus I think it sounds a little better at lower volumes. To my ears the 4-10 is brighter sounding, not as fat. Everyone I know that has played or owned both agree the 6-10 is the better amp.
Don't get me wrong the 4-10 is amazing amp and I would be happy to own one, but given the choice, the 6-10 rules. Maybe that's why you see more pros using the 6-10? I don't think it's the size issue, a 70 watt 4-10 is more than enough to gig with.
The 6-10 has a 3/8" baffle supporting 6 speakers!, that blows my mind

I was thinking it would be cool for someone to do a video of a side by side comparison of the 6-10 and 4-10 HK using the same settings. I only know one person that owns both as well as a Soulful, I'll have to see if he's willing.
Anyone else own both Harp Kings?

Thanks Harpswing, but 've viewed those two videos at least ten times.
1847, nice pic, but we want to hear it!
I know we can try and compare, but its still not the same as having them recorded side by side with the same player, mic and similar settings.

@ Harpaholic: thanks for the additional details...didn't realize the sound was that different. I've only heard the 6x10 in person (never the 4x10), and it's pretty amazing.
@Harp2swing: that guy in the 2nd video sure is a monster on the chromatic. I've heard his other amp samples where he has the beer cans sitting on the amps. He's like the 2nd coming of William Clarke.
@1847: you can tell your buddy I'll trade my working Bassman RI for his non-working Harp King. LOL.
The difference in tone is not drastic, and shouldn't come as a surprise, there different amps
Rob is a great player, he plays alot of RP tunes, and here he's playing a Rod Piazza instrumental pretty much note for note, I would call him the second coming of Rod.
