Just to share something that made me smile.

Saturday morning, sitting in bed with the wife watching the morning news, when up pops a commercial for The New River Excursion Train. As we watch, something seems familiar, and we get to the end I hear my voice. It’s me singing “New River Train” with some harp playing. There’s about 1 second where you can see my face and my friend Dick King (R.I.P.) playing the harp on the train at the 16 second mark.

A total surprise, and I now realize my singing is as good as I thought, but that won’t stop me from doing it again this October. :)

@1847

Typically, 1 of the 4 excursions are on "bridge day".
Though they stop jumping as we pass under, there are usually several repelers and bungie jumpers dangling from long ropes off the bridge. It is quite a sight.

i'll sign up for the train if you'll sign

I have done the NRB jump.
Now I have a better connection (with far more class).

I'd like to have a nickel for every time I've played that song.

@sarge "I'd like to have a nickel for every time I've played that song"

Last year, there were 30 cars. We played the same song 30 times in 2 hours. It's not a gig for everyone, but it is a lesson on performance.

Well, I guess you'd like to have nickel for every time you've played too.
