Couldn't agree more Bluemoose! I saw him in Ottawa on the 24th and this was my impression which I left on his FB page that night: "Just returned from the show and it was stellar! Russ, your harp blowing was 'a home-run, out of the park' tonight. And of course, Lurrie, smoked the stage with his blistering licks while the drums & bass set a pocket that kept you altogether. Bravo! Best show at Bluesfest this week."
I was also entertained by the same group in Bonita Springs, Florida back in March with equal results. Russ is a terrific player.
